Dr Hysjulien was born & raised in Hibbing, Minnesota. She graduated from nursing school in 1979. She received her BS in clinical psychology from the University of South Dakota and her masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Pacific University SPP in Forest Grove, Oregon. She returned to Minnesota for her pre and post doctoral work at The Behavioral Health Clinic at St. Cloud Hospital where she specialized in Health Psychology. She began working at the Student Health Center in August of 2008.
Dr. Hysjulien’s areas of interest include treatment of people with eating disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, chronic life threatening illnesses, and grief/loss issues. Dr. Hysjulien and her husband Randy have 4 adult children. She enjoys music, knitting/crocheting, football, and spending time with family at the cabin.
